Shima-Kai Martial Arts is a not-for-profit dojo run by volunteers, dedicated to promoting traditional martial arts in St. John's, Newfoundland. They teach Shotokan Karate and Ryukyu Kobujutsu, focusing on kihon, kata, and kumite, with a strong emphasis on character development and self-defence. The dojo features 1000 sq ft of tatami mats, padded walls, and climate control.
